Today, I congratulate Suite 900 Group, Inc. for its first ever team building summer outing held at Vista Mar Beach Resort and Country Club last May 1, 2014.

Everyone was soooo excited to be at the beach! Even our boss kept asking if everything is already ready days before the outing!

How to get there:

Take a cab from Cebu City center and tell the driver to get you to Vista Mar. Most Cebu drivers definitely know where this place is. Or, if you are on a tight budget, or a tourist who wants to experience a full adventure that comes with your travel, you can take a jeepney from Cebu City. If you are coming from Mactan International Airport, you can drive right after Marina Mall, passing the Mactan Economic Zone 1. From there, take a right turn before reaching Mactan Shrine. You’ll pass by Mactan Church on the left. From there, turn left at the Angasil crossing. Take it from there until you see Vista Mar on the right. From outside, it looks like a posh subdivision.

In our case, since we are going out as a company, we made sure everything is ironed out to fully enjoy that day! We reserved a good spot near the infinity pool. The entrance fee is at P350 per head, but of course, it was charged as a company expense–the sweetest deal ever! All we were made to pay for was our transportation since we opted to hire a driver with a van. There were 18 of us and we only shared a P150 each for the transportation which includes picking us up at the office (start point) towards Vista Mar, and picking us up at Vista Mar by 4:00 pm and dropping us all off at the office again.

…and here we go! Introducing the #selfhug by the awesome nerdz!

Don’t you love the sun and the beach?

We decided to get warmed up before we start playing some games–team building games. It was sooo fun! Everyone enjoyed the games especially when the boss declared FREE BEERS for the winning team! Guess who won? Our team! :p

At Vista Mar, we reserved their lunch buffet package good for 18 people. The buffet package consists of pancit canton, fried chicken, kare-kare, sweet&sour fish, and… was it calamares? I remembered there was a shrimp at the table! 😀 Part of the buffet was a pitcher of iced tea to pair the food with.

The food was okay. The Vista Mar fried chicken, was great! *nomnom*

After lunch, we all decided to take a dip and enjoy the pool and the beach.
